What role does memory play in the shaping of reality?

  1. the stuff we learn affects the way we perceive the world. for example when we learn about history it can give a new meaning to the way we think
or we may remember something incorrectly or it may be a distorted version of the 'truth' so therefore the way you think is shaped to what you remember

  2. I think it's also important to remember that if we remember our childhood as being a particular way, it will affect the way we see the world and our ability to empathise with others. Is it possible for someone who was abused as a child to have a sunny disposition and outlook on life as an adult?

  3. What we experience is what we remember and as we face reality we relate it to what we have already experienced. We do this because we are curious as to what reality will bring, resulting in us thinking of what we have already experienced and what memories have already been made. Therefore we might expect what we have in our memories, because we don't know of anything else to shape reality with.

  4. Memory plays a role in reality as it helps shape the worlds around us due to personal experiences and life moments this helps people subconsciously decide what type of reality they choose to live in.

  5. There are many types of reality. One is the shaping of our reality due to historical events, and this might be taken down to the personal scale where it depends on your past experiences. what you choose to forget or remember acts as a filter in which your brain processes or perceives what is really happening. this filter can distort reality and shape your on.
